ARCHIVING DIGITAL MEDIA

It is easy to let the images we capture of our kids live on our smartphones and hard drives. But here's the thing - without prints, we risk losing the memories of the moments that matter most to us.

That's because it is hard to archive digital media. You may transfer your digital images from your old zip disk to Dropbox and again to the next storage solution. But will your kids? Will your grandkids? What happens when your drive fails or the cloud is hacked?

This is why I encourage my clients to invest in high-quality prints. It is easy to make a digital negative from a high-quality print (even a 4x6), but you can’t print from a corrupted file. Plus, when you invest in high-quality print products, you’ll always have albums on the coffee table, a box of photographs, or pictures on your walls to rummage through and pass down to your grandkids.

All of my paper and canvas products are certified by the Archival Printmakers Association and are made from only the highest quality, OBA and Bleach free, archival-grade paper or canvas. Their color is guaranteed and their Standard Archival Value is 100 years in home display and 200 years in dark storage.
